Axiom is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and maintain the systems behind the innovative toolkit.
You’ll work closely with the team to create reliable, high-performance services that deliver great user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Design & Develop: Build and optimize backend systems and APIs that work seamlessly with front-end applications.
- Collaborate: Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
- Scale & Optimize: Improve system performance, optimize data storage, and monitor system health for scalability.
- Maintain Quality: Write clean, testable code to reduce downtime and prevent issues.
- Drive Innovation: Contribute to technical discussions and help evolve our technology and engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve backend issues to ensure a secure, reliable user experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in backend development (TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, or similar).
- Familiarity with Rust (code review, not production), and expertise in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of modern design principles (event-driven microservices, domain-driven design, TDD, clean code).
- Experience in designing scalable backend systems for high-traffic environments (SaaS, fintech, or cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing tech company.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, observability tools (like Prometheus, Grafana), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience with Web3 APIs, blockchain integrations, and indexing is beneficial but not required.
