Investment Associate / Principal – AI Focus | Global VC

Axiom is supporting a globally respected venture fund known for its early bets in frontier tech and Web3. As they expand aggressively into the AI space, we're helping them find a proven investor to join their team and lead early-stage deal flow in AI.
This role sits within the VC’s investment team and is a high-impact opportunity to shape the next wave of innovation in artificial intelligence.
What you’ll do:
- Source and evaluate early-stage AI startups across diverse verticals
- Build and leverage strong networks in the AI founder and research communities
- Lead due diligence, from technical deep dives to founder assessment
- Support portfolio companies post-investment through strategic, operational, and growth guidance
- Collaborate closely with internal investment leads and external partners
What we’re looking for:
- Background in AI/ML, computer science, or related deep tech disciplines
- Experience in startup ecosystems and/or venture capital (BD, product, or technical roles welcome)
- A genuine passion for early-stage technology and a sharp investment instinct
- Excellent communication and the ability to explain complex tech to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong founder network and a proactive sourcing mindset
